These shirts are hand embroidered by Md Ashraf, a skilled embroiderer from Bengal, using a chain stitch technique called Ari. These pieces are embroidered on a handwoven Kala Cotton from Khamir Craft in Gujarat. Each panel is individually embroidered on a frame before the garment is stitched.
